Gabriel M. Daniels, MD

Chair, Council of Review Committee Residents

Dr. Daniels is the current chair of the ACGME Council of Review Committee Residents, a role which includes advising the ACGME Board of Directors on resident and fellow perspectives. Prior to this, he also served with the Review Committee for Pediatrics and with the writing group which most recently revised the ACGME Program Requirements for Graduate Medical Education in Pediatrics. His medical education began with an accelerated BS/MD education through the University of Florida College of Medicine’s Medical Honors Program followed by pediatrics residency, chief residency, and a hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He now practices in both inpatient pediatric care and palliative medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa. His professional interests include medical education, learner and physician well-being, and the expansion of pediatric palliative medicine.
