Dr. Leah Colucci completed her emergency medicine residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and is now completing fellowships in emergency medical services and education scholarship, also at Yale. She hopes to use these fellowships and her prior experiences to develop a disaster medicine curriculum at her home institution.

Dr. Colucci has served on various committees of the ACGME, where she has found a passion for elevating and improving the standards of education for residents and fellows. Most recently she served as the Vice Chair of the Council of Review Committee Residents and on the Back to Bedside Working and Advisory Group. She hopes to continue improving residents’ and fellows’ knowledge of the role of the ACGME, and empowering them to make a difference at their institution on a local level.

Prior to her medical career, Dr. Colucci was a marine biologist. She loves spending her free time outdoors and traveling the world.
