Navigating with Confidence at #ACGME2026: The 16th Annual Coordinator Forum

October 22, 2025

Now in its 16th year, the Coordinator Forum continues to serve as one of the most anticipated gatherings for program and institutional coordinators at the ACGME Annual Educational Conference. Each year, this Full-Day Course offers coordinators in all roles and of all experience levels an opportunity to connect, learn, and share with peers from across the country.

A Day Designed for Coordinators
The 2026 Coordinator Forum, themed Navigating with Confidence, reflects the ongoing spirit of empowerment and professional growth that has come to define the event. The theme, while introduced several years ago, still deeply resonates with the community, as it takes confidence to excel in every stage of a coordinator’s career.

Engaging Plenaries and Breakout Sessions
The 2026 Coordinator Forum will feature two plenary sessions led by experienced administrative leaders who will share their professional journeys and insights on leadership and collaboration. These plenary titles are:

  • Collaborative Relationships: Exploring the Partnership Between Program Directors, Program Coordinators, and GME Offices
  • Leadership Identity: Articulating and Leveraging the Leadership Identity as an Administrative Leader

In addition to the plenaries, a range of breakout sessions allow attendees to find information directly related to their coordinator role and path. Developed from community submissions from the coordinator community and reviewed by the ACGME’s Coordinator Advisory Group, these sessions provide a robust and well-rounded agenda for the day, with several options from which coordinators can select sessions of interest.

Topics for Every Stage of the Coordinator Journey
Whether you’re a new coordinator looking to establish a foundation, or a seasoned professional, this year’s Coordinator Forum offers content for every level of experience. In addition to professional development and career growth, this year’s agenda covers artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and more! Explore how these tools can streamline administrative processes and enhance efficiency in GME offices, and gain rich insights to bring back from the conference to apply locally.

Why Attend
The Coordinator Forum typically reaches the maximum capacity, with up to 2,200 participants! It is uniquely designed by coordinators for coordinators. From first-time attendees to those returning for another year, you’ll gain new perspectives, practices, and tools, and make meaningful connections.

Feedback from 2025 attendees includes:

“Really fun, engaging topics with great stories of progress from each presenter. All of the topics spoken about helped me ground myself in what are great attainable goals. It also helped me think of where my position can lead to.”

“I loved that there were so many different offerings regarding the breakout sessions.”

“I enjoyed that it's geared directly to coordinators and specific to what we want/need to know about.”
