The ACGME is excited to welcome the graduate medical education (GME) community to Nashville, Tennessee, for the 2025 Annual Educational Conference! While your schedule will be packed with educational sessions, networking opportunities, and more at the conference, we hope you’ll also find time to explore Nashville.

After a full day of learning and collaboration at the conference, unwind by experiencing Nashville’s live country music and nightlife in the evening. Attend a concert at the world-famous Grand Ole Opry, just a short walk from the conference venue, the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. If you’d like to venture further afield, the historic Ryman Auditorium and Bluebird Cafe also offer live performances. Stroll down Lower Broadway to experience the lively vibe of the city and hear Nashville’s up-and-coming talent perform in dozens of bars and saloons.

While you’ll be joining us for breakfast and lunch on conference days, make sure to leave some time to try a classic Nashville fried chicken sandwich (challenge your taste buds to a truly spicy heat level if you dare!), southern biscuits, local barbecue, or a classic southern meat-and-three.

If you’ve booked some extra time in Nashville before or after the conference, check out the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere, Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and Historic RCA Studio B, a recording studio known as the birthplace of the “Nashville sound.” Take a backstage tour of the Grand Ole Opry to walk in the footsteps of country music superstars and learn what happens behind the scenes of the venue’s biggest concerts. For something truly unique, visit Nashville’s Parthenon, a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, Greece that includes a museum and a 42-foot replica of the statue of Athena.

To get a lay of the land, Old Town Trolleys has hop-on-hop-off tours, and the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center offers a convenient daily complimentary shuttle to the nearby Opry Mills Mall. Take advantage of these opportunities if you’re looking for a way to recharge after a session-packed day.

The hotel property itself also provides many activities and experiences that can be a great way to wind down after a full day of learning. Visit the 4.5-acre Delta Atrium to take a scenic indoor Delta Riverboat Tour, and experience the nightly seasonally themed fountain and light show or relax at the SoundWaves upscale resort water attraction. Shop for souvenirs, at the on-property shops, and enjoy the wide variety of dining options, from rustic Italian fare to traditional southern.

We hope you will join us in Music City for collaboration, learning, and a bit of Nashville fun!
