Join the ACGME and NAM in Accelerating the Climate and Health Movement

September 5, 2024

The ACGME believes the health sector has a responsibility to address the health impacts of climate change and is proud to participate in the National Academy of Medicine (NAM)’s Climate Collaborative. To that end, ACGME President and CEO Dr. Thomas J. Nasca joins NAM President Dr. Victor J. Dzau in encouraging others to join NAM’s new initiative to mobilize all health sector organizations and accelerate the national climate and health movement.

There are no specific obligations for joining, and those who sign up will:

  • Receive highlights about the most impactful climate work
    • Learning opportunities from leading organizations in climate and health
    • Receiving early access to NAM resources
  • Forge new and exciting collaborations
    • Forming connections, opportunities, and partnerships
    • Receiving early access to and participating in NAM virtual and in-person events, such as roundtables and the annual Climate and Health Summit
  • Track collective progress
    • Increasing visibility of existing efforts and achievements
    • Showcasing the landscape of actors and actions

With these continued efforts, the US health sector can help turn the tide in the fight against climate change and sustain this movement’s momentum to better support the health of patients and communities. Join the movement at nam.edu/ClimateMovement.
