2022 Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Awardee Nicole Paradise Black, MD, MEd is a professor of pediatrics, the associate chair of pediatrics education, and the program director for pediatrics at University of Florida Health’s Shands Children’s Hospital. 

The 2022 ACGME Annual Educational Conference offers outstanding educational and networking opportunities. The conference fee also includes several events and activities that give you an opportunity to connect with colleagues in a relaxing and engaging atmosphere.

Though the 2022 Annual Educational Conference will be held in a virtual environment, consistent with the conference theme of Meaning in Medicine: Rebuilding Connections, engaging and valuable networking opportunities are planned to provide participants with ways to meet new colleagues and reconnect with longstanding friends.

ACGME Equity Matters provides a safe space for additional discussion and growth through monthly Learning Community meetings in which participants explore their new knowledge and experience with the initiative’s Fundamentals of DEI and anti-racism modules with physician subject matter experts, peer support, and advising.

As the extraordinary challenges continue this year, the importance of staying connected—to family and friends, to immediate colleagues, to the osteopathic community, and to the graduate medical education (GME) community at large—has never been more critical.

The Journal of Graduate Medical Education (JGME) has long enjoyed a presence at the ACGME Annual Educational Conference with great sessions and workshops. This year’s JGME workshop is called Turning Your Educational Evaluation Work into a Scholarly Activity.
