The ACGME thanks all who participated in this year’s record-breaking Annual Educational Conference! Over three incredible days, more than 5,000 participants gathered for the world’s largest graduate medical education (GME) event to collaborate, innovate, and inspire. With the theme of Meaning in Medicine, the conference highlighted the importance of sustaining purpose and joy in the work of health care professionals. Attendees engaged in thought-provoking educational sessions, strengthened professional connections, and reflected on the core motivations that led them to the field, with a shared commitment to delivering high-quality, equitable patient care.
This gathering not only celebrated achievements in academic medicine but also addressed the challenges ahead. Attendees explored dynamic sessions on ACGME accreditation and initiatives, population health, faculty and professional development, well-being, crisis management, and other key topics shaping the future of medical education. Beyond sessions, participants engaged in meaningful activities, including packing hundreds of meals for families in need with Nashville’s Second Harvest Food Bank and creating vibrant artwork with the Foundation for Hospital Art, which was donated to the Neighborhood Health Clinics of Nashville.
Additional highlights included record-breaking attendance at the Coordinator Forum Full-Day Course, numerous opportunities to support the local community, the Mentor/Mentee Program, more than 100 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovation, and countless moments to connect.
The ACGME thanks everyone for making this year’s conference an unforgettable experience, and looks forward to reconnecting again next year!
