Overview
The Coordinator Advisory Group serves as a consultative body to the ACGME administration concerning coordinator, graduate medical education, learning environment, and accreditation matters.

Coordinator Advisory Group Charge | Nomination Preparation Form
The ACGME is currently accepting Coordinator Advisory Group member nominations for a three-year term, from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029. Program and institutional coordinators who have a minimum of five years’ experience and are listed as a coordinator in the Accreditation Data System (ADS) are eligible. For more information, review the Coordinator Advisory Group Charge.
Nominations must be made by the program director (for program coordinators) or the designated institutional official (DIO) (for institutional coordinators). In addition to the information located in the Nomination Preparation Form, the submitted nomination must include:
- Letter of support from the nominee’s current graduate medical education (GME) leader/supervisor (e.g., program director, DIO)
- Additional letter of support from an individual familiar with the nominee’s role within the program, institution, or GME (e.g., GME manager, colleague)
- Letter from the nominee addressing the following:
- What special qualifications and/or perspectives would you bring to the group?
- What is the most rewarding aspect of being a coordinator?
- What is the biggest opportunity you see in the future of GME?
- What is the most important issue faced in the coordinator role?
- Nominee’s current CV
All nomination materials must be submitted electronically at one time using the following link: Coordinator Advisory Group Nomination Submission Portal. Completed nomination materials are due August 15, 2025. Questions may be emailed to coordadvgroup@acgme.org.
All nominees will be notified by December 12, 2025.
Meetings
The Coordinator Advisory Group meets twice a year, and members serve three-year terms. Tentative future meeting dates are listed below and are subject to change. Teleconferences may be scheduled between meetings as needed.
